I am committed to advancing policy and investments for NC’s youngest residents because of the proven triple bottom line: significant social, economic, and academic returns for whole communities. I want to reclaim and redefine the term ‘pro-life’. My values include bodily autonomy, freedom, and family. My commitment is to the quality of life for infants and toddlers, including economic mobility for new families, accessible health care, stable housing, food security, early care and education, and sufficient green and play spaces. This campaign is about placing children’s experiences at the center of inquiry and decision-making to challenge and transform larger social norms and structures. But first, we need to break the supermajority, which is possible in Southern Wake County. House District 37 is a competitive race where we can flip the seat and bring new leadership. When I’m not campaigning, I serve as the Chief Strategy Officer with NC Partnership for Children/Smart Start Network. I also serve as a board member of Raleigh Little Theatre and write children’s books on the topic of civic engagement. I am an avid consumer of theatre, community festivals, and live jazz.
